Fixing Advanced Warfare Mouse Acceleration

by Clayton Lambert

Straying from my normal tutorials, I’m bringing you guys that play CoD:AW on PC, a fix for the mouse acceleration issue. When playing, if you are experiencing this issue, you’ve probably noticed your mouses sensitivity increasing as you begin to move your mouse. For most players mouse acceleration severely reduces accuracy. Luckily, there is a fix.

Mouse Acceleration Fix

The problem is CoD conflicting with your mouse configuration, more specifically, the polling rate set for your mouse sensor. Call of Duty is notorious for being sensitive to your mouse polling rate. We simply need to adjust the polling rate of our mouse to fix the issue. Head over to your mouse software, for most this will either be Razer Synapse or Logitech Gaming Software, and find the polling rate settings.

Changing The Polling Rate

Once you’ve located the polling rate of your mouse, simply change it to 125. Don’t worry, this setting will not effect your mouse sensitivity.

After adjusting the polling rate of your mouse, your problem should be solved instantly. I don’t know the specific reason why Call Of Duty: AW has issues with high polling rates, but it has been an ongoing issue for almost all of the previous Call Of Duty titles. If this fix did not work for you, and you are still experiencing issues, please feel free to leave a comment, and I’ll see if I can’t help you resolve your issue.
